a good idea is to have all the characters start in a bustling city (namely Freeport or Qeynos) and venture off to a dungeon (splitpaw, befallen, blackburrow, or the like) for lower levels (yes making splitpaw a lower level dungeon) and have the creatures on the way there kind of around the same level. So it really feels like you are adventuring. maybe even limiting the levels to 20 just like in D&D and have the exp table go like 1000 exp for lvl 1, 2000 more to reach level 2, 4000 to reach 3, 8000 to reach 4 and so on and so forth.
