The fact is though that people with addictition tendancies are going to be hooked on SOMETHING, just in this case it's EQ. I've seen the same compulsions with D&D, porn, Model building, boating, motorcycles and sword collecting (my compulsions).
Where do we draw the line as a society. Anything that someone might possibly devote too much time to, we rule it as addictive and put safeguards on it? The internet period !
You can't regulate personal choices without restricting personal freedoms.
I should sue Briars because they make an Picchio ice cream that is SOOO good that I can't help but eating the entire half galleon at a time. It's there fault for making it so tasty, I shouldnt have to fight that temptation.
What is the solution, make everything bland? Create a 'Harrison Bergeron' society where all things and people are equal?
