I was having the same problem with no servers showing up and I checked my db.ini and the password and user name were wrong they did not match uup with my c:\windows\my.ini.
Assoon as I changed them I could see the server.
I thought that I had no user name and password because I reinstalled and it never asked me for one. It was stuck using a user name and pass from an old installation.
