If your patcher is timing out, disable all firewalls, routers, antivirus. Try again. If it still fails, contact ISP regarding proxies. If they exist, ask if you could bypass. If the respond that they don't have them or that they don't disable them, try another ISP. Borrow a friend's dialup account and buy an $8 modem off
