I'm not saying that at all. I'm simply saying that the attitude of the people reflects in the general support behind the program, thus in any given situation where one has a problem, it affects the usability of the program.

As for the newbies asking for the patcher, it WAS IN THE FAQ, AND there were archived posts to see, so there is really no excuse besides ignorance, and ignorance of the law doesnt make innocence.

Hackersquest, as is unfortunately determined by its nondatabase approach, is limited in the scalability it is allowed. Unless anyone is suggesting that databases are innefficient?

EQEmu has a far larger feature set, and it's tackled a wider base of issues than hackersquest. HQ has simply made the most minimal things work, then built up from that. While this means that it's easier for them to tackle issues like EQLive patches, it also means that they do not have the raw features that EQEMU has. EQEMU, on the other hand, has built up a large feature set at the cost of immediate compatibility with live. Honestly, do you really have to ask which is preferable?

I said I'd shut the hell up cause I didnt know what I was talking about, but I didnt figure on getting flamed AFTER I said that.
