Here's a copy/paste from the readme that might be relevant as well:

***ATTN!!!*** If you get this error:
Login server responded with FatalError. Disabling reconnect
Error message: 'Incorrect version'
This is caused by one or both of two things:
1. You left worldaddress blank in loginserver.ini (this needs to have your real IP. if your using minilogin it needs to be 127.0.0.1 or localhost.
2. You didnt add or use the correct loginport= in loginserver.ini

I've noticed that the preset port in
loginserver.ini is set to 5997, yet 5999 is the number you're told to use elsewhere. I have mine set to 5999 and it works fine.
