One thing EQLive does have going for it (the only thing, just about) is connectivity. For example, there is only about one or two servers I can actually log on to on the Emu, it seems. Also, I was just playing a few minutes ago one one of those servers, and I had been logged in for about 15 minutes, when I got DCed. Kicked me to the login screen, so I tried to re-login. But almost all I'm getting now is 'Cannot connect to patch server.' The few times it DOES connect it gives me 'Bad username/password.' Believe me, I typed my password very carefully after the second time that error showed up, no capslocks, and it still gives me the error (when it does connect) at all). *sighs* Frustrating... its such a great emulator, and I hate not being able to connect.
(Oh, and BTW, I never got an email, though I haven't played EQLive in over half a year. But today, outof boredom, I re-installed EQ and DLed all the patches for every expansion (even the ones I don't own) so I could play the Emu again. On a whim I decided to try to log on to my account, and discovered I had '7 trial days remaining.' Which amused me enough to get me to actually play. Or try to. I spent about 15 minutes alternately trying to figure out some of the new GUI features and running when someone trained mobs to the zoneline in Dawnshrioud. Absolutely no one on, hardly, no talking, even in OOC, at all in any of the zones I passed through... just nothing. Total waste of time, heh. I would like Everquest,, but their mad quest for balance has succesfuly created a static, stagnant, overly sterile world of nothing. So I guess I will wait for Worlds of Warc raft. In the meantime, though, I wish the Emu'd let me play. ^^)
