Ya the Sex Pistols did sell out. That doesn't mean that they weren't punk whent hey started. They made Punk mainstream in Britain (and the US). I never claimed to like McLaren. He was just their "manager". Plus you can't even compare the Sex Pistols to EVERY SINGLE modern band as sell-outs. Besides The Clash is a much better band anyway.
