solved it when removed the space at the end of the login server name in LoginServer.ini
it had been long ( 1week or so) since the server went on the WAN, so i'm not sure of config i used. Apparently everything else had been fine (pinging, ...)
Also i updated from CVS (latest version Feb 02 2004), so maybe there has been a change (did not check)
BTW, could not ping eqlogin2 nor eqlogin3 (DNS solves well, but no answer)
Last, but not least, please post to the Win32 AND Linux forum when it's not W32 specific ... Looks like Windoze if problem-prone, when you count the posts
