While I realize that system restore in some cases will work to undo a patch, there is a misconception here. System restore does NOT restore old files. All it does is restore a previous version of the system registry. File structure and content stay the exact same.

You may need to work these boards (read support problems) for a while before you say that. When there are posts RIGHT under his and stickys at the top of the page, it is not a matter of using search, it is a matter of opening one's eyes. The defenition of support is NOT to spoon feed everyone a personal "How To Set up EqEmu", but to answer questions that are above and beyond what has been discussed in other posts/threads/guides.... And in this case, were he to go to the support forum, where this should be, then he would see that there is a PLETHORA of other posts JUST like this one... There is even a sticky in General Support, that I made that is a one stop error guide, and DOES mention that this is a KNOWN issue. This was not meant to be a flame, but to motivate people to help us help them, by doing some reading before they post...
