Default thanks!

Thanks to all of you who were mentally disciplined enough not to fire up an acetalyne cutting torch.

Anyone not interested in my suggestions for the enchanter changes, dont read on.

Charms: This is one of the funnest things about being an enchanter. We have charms that last up to 14 minutes! 14 minutes! And then you can recast. If you partner with a druid, as I did in live (my wife), you will be amazed what you can accomplish keeping an 'ensnared' mob charmed. Yes, this is a powerful duo, but it has amazing limits that can really tear up your fun.

Anyone who has ever been a HIGH lvl (55+) enchanter that has spent a great deal of time masterying the skills of charming with a druid partner learns where some emulator changes could make the class a lot more fun without unbalancing it.

EQlive is balanced with one main thought, group group group.
And the higher lvl you get, the bigger that group must be. Most people on the emulators, not ALL, but most Ive met, enjoy a good solo, duo, or trio set up.

If your an emu server host looking to spice up your server as FUN and not just EQlive balanced, then I suggest you look at what makes each profession 'fun' and turn up the knob on it.

In the period of an hour, I could cast a charm that lasts up to 14 minutes a minimum of 5 times or sometimes, on a bad day, 8 times.
The pet using professions can heal and summon just one pet and keep going on and on. The enchanter can not heal their pets and as it is now, it is suicide to try to maintain a pet that summons because the very moment that charm breaks, that enchanter will be summoned to melee. So, in the upper zones, enchanters are very limited on what they can actually charm efficiently for fun.

An enchanter change to charms is NOT for everyone. Some people like dieing ten times per hour to unpredictable broken charms, BUT others, like me, prefer to enjoy my small amount of game time and would love to charm something and get it beat senseless.

Not everything can be charmed. Mobs with very high MR that summon are extremely challenging to charm.

Some things you might consider if your going to change your charm line for enchanters is to offer the magician a summoned line of charms with a long duration, the necromancers an undead charm with a long duration, and the druids an animal charm with a long duration. This puts some serious excitement into 4 classes, the mage, necromancer, druid, and enchanter. You might even consider going as far as to give wizards the spell line to charm constructs!

I come to the emulators looking for something I could not get in EQlive. This is but one suggestion, an educated one I got from being a 65 elem chanter, that I offer. Im not going to offer any suggestions for other classes in detail because I did NOT play them to 65th lvl elem capable.

When I log into an emulator with a large population, I can immediately learn something about it's set up by the amount melee vs. casters being played. Ive yet to see one where there is more 55+ casters than melee. Sometimes I log into one and there is NO casters at all and several melee.

Again, this is NOT for everyone, but for the few who SEEK a change, a chance to go full throttle with a profession, not just stuck in some EQlive grouping balance niche.
