Personally, I'm interested in EQEMu for several reasons...
1. Every once in a while I like to OBLITERATE EVERYTHING IN SITE!!! Just for madicinal purposes you understand
2. I want to be able to create my own world... new zones, new spawns, new quests, new items, etc... Right now this is very limited because I can't get my own servers to run properly, the EQEMu Admin tool has some serious limitations to it's overall functionality, my computer is an archaic and slow piece of crap, and I don't totally understand the in's and out's of database editing for use with EQEMu... But I'm a fast learner and very good at self-teaching, so I think I'll get the hang of it if I can ever get my computer to shape up

3. I HATE VI!!! Nerf, nerf, nerf, nerf, nerf!!! They should making soft foam balls and stuff!
and lastly...
4. I have a hard enough time affording food for myself, let alone an extra $10/month (now $13/month) just to play a computer game which largely just pisses me off and increases my blood preassure.
I'm sure there are other reasons, but those are good for now
