There is a game out there called planeshift and right now it has a functional 3d world that you can run around in and collect gems to buy items for when the next update is release. It has an open source code so anyone can run a server if they want to. It is a #D first person mmorpg and has a few working quests. If you like developement of games and graphics software it is a great game to get into because since it is free they need as much help as they can possibly get. The are using Melecular Blue graphics engine and when the new release of melecular blue comes out planeshift will be released. The website is
