Default EQ problem, freezing...

hey all...
tried last night to run EQ server and EQ client on a P2 450Mhz machine...

when I started the server with success, except the time.txt
file... that one was missing...!?

well anyway, no problems shown... I start EQ and it goes around
and start up like it should... but when I've run the EQ client
for a while... perhaps 40sec to 1min it freezes...

mouse freeze on screen and I can't get the CTRL-ALT-DEL
dialog on WinXP as EQ is protecting itself from ALT-Enter, Win and CTRL-ESC buttoncommands...

hope you understand

anyways... it doesn't matter where I go in EQ...
either account -> new or clicking connect...
after about a minute it freezes...

and when I once tried to login using just the forum account
user and pass it just search for the login servers for a while...
I can move the mouse during this time... and then after some time
about 10-20sec the screen freezes...

my computer doesn't freeze, just the screen...
as when I click CTRL-ALT-DEL I see the mousepointer get a
timeglass, spelling? , and then it disappears...
and when clicking Num, Scroll and Caps lock they blink as I click them.

so, I want to know... anyone else got this problem?
is there anything I could do to fix this??

please let me know!!!!
thank you guys!!
