Windows Problem

Hey guys. This is just my first post on the forum, but I have been playing EQ for a few years now and started experiencing a problem I've never run across before until tonight.

After starting EQPlayNice and logging into the realm with my first character, I start a second window to log in with my alternate character. Even though the first character logs in just fine, after my alt logs, the first window goes black and there is no response at all with my character. Just a plain black screen.

Has anyone else experienced this problem before? If so, any help or advice on correcting this would be much appreciated!

Depending on what server you are playing on, this could be due to the account limiting that many servers use. Basically, we only allow 1 character to be logged in per account at a time. So, if you have more than 1 character that you want to play, make sure they are on separate accounts. Otherwise, the character already logged in will get booted when the second one logs in. Not all servers use this setting, but many do.

If you are using 2 separate accounts already and having this problem, maybe your issue is something else.

Hey! I'm new too, and encountering the same issue while trying to dualbox two accounts on this server. (vz/tz)

Happen to know their limit is 2 accounts per IP going on at once.

Separate accounts, log second one on, first one gets BSOD'd. Any fix?

Maybe turn off EQPlayNice or any 3rd party stuff? And FYI, BSOD is Blue Screen of Death, and if you were getting that, your problem would be much bigger than what you are actually having and would most likely be a hardware issue :P
