Question New Log Errors

Im getting these errors over and over in logs

"Unable to load ability timers from the database for <user> etc" (tried to search for answers, no luck)

"Unable to read perl file quest/nro/player.pl" (there is no player.pl in that folder, just in the templates folder)

Also

"Unquoted string "null" may clash with future reserved words at ...."

"Argument "null" isn't numeric in number eq (==) at ... "

which Im trying some edits/fixes now.

Please help.

Hmm, I dont see option to edit my post. Anyways, I've fixed that null string in item hand in quest, just made it "== 0" instead of "== null".

Anyway, the first two errors of ability timers and player.pl are showing up everywhere in the logs.

Im 100% clueless on the ability timers error, and searching for answers hasn't help.

I never had errors on player.pl before. Its located in templates folder so that any zone that doesn't have that file will use the default player.pl instead.

Has anyone seen this before or know how to fix the first two errors listed on this thread?

Why was I forced to 'accept' the rules again before I can post? Also I was locked out of another topic. Im just asking for help. Im not spamming or flaming any threads. I stay in topic. I always search for answers before posting a question. Unless my account is just screwed up and none of the admins are doing this to me, then I apologize for being puzzled.

I see only 2 people viewed this thread, and none responded. Oh well.

I found answer to the massive errors messages in the logs about player timers. The timers table had to be 'repair' which I did, so now it works fine. This also prevented me from making a backup so that is how I stumbled onto the solution to the first problem.

Well, sounds good that you got it resolved and good of you to post the fix. I just wanted to post to answer some of your other questions;

Because Mattmeck was doing some testing yesterday to make all new users have to accept the rules before posting. This won't happen often unless he has to reset it again. It is just a nice new feature to get more noobies reading the rules. Nothing directly just for you.

If you are talking about the post in the development section that you made, I believe the thread you are talking about was split into 2 posts. One of the posts was for discussion and opinions of the code and the other post was only for bug reports, fixes or adjustments to the code. You just happened to post in the one for fixes instead of for discussion, so you triggered the Mattmeck alarm lol. Simple mistake, no harm done.

Your account is just fine. I blame Mattmeck for all of your problems lol! :P

The view counts are completely wrong on all posts past a certain date for some reason. They are actually showing the replies count, not the views. I really wish this was working properly. I promise you that your post had MANY more views than just 2.

Let me know if you have any other problems or questions, man
