DirectInput Error

I've tried Version 3.3.1 and 3.4 on two different XP machines and I still get this error once I try to connect to the eqemu login servers.

DirectInput keyboard input failed!, code = 80070005

I reinstalled Direct X as well as EQ. Neither fixed the error. Can anyone help me with this?
