Yeah, I imagine this is probably going to be an issue for a number of users. There probably isn't an easy solution to this issue unfortunately. There are only a couple of possible solutions I can think of off the top of my head. One may be for you to figure out what the original email address is that you signed up for the other account with and contact the right person to get that account switched to the new email address. Unfortunately, I think the number of people who could possibly handle that are extremely limited and not very involved with the project anymore and too many people contacting them is more likely just to spam them and get ignored than anything.
The other idea might be to just create a new forums account and then request that the characters on the server you play on get moved to your new account(s). You would have to request that directly to the server that you play on though, and not here. Any request like that made here would just get ignored and probably deleted. It would be up to the admin(s) of your play server to decide whether they chose to move your characters or not. I imagine that many accounts might not be too hard for admins to know if their players are making a legit request or not. Many account names are similar and also many people multi-box at the same time and the admins may be familiar with you having multiple characters and which belong to you. However, there is no way to be 100% sure about this, so it is all up to them.
The only good thing is that only your forum login password was reset, not your actual play account(s). So, you should still be able to use those other play accounts as long as you don't need to manage them from here. This being the case, the password reset issue should hopefully not affect hardly anyone too much.
