Default Help, keep patching the txt file!

Okay, so I did everything it said int he Client Information stikcuy at the top of this page. I downloaded the free version of EQ at IGN.com and then replaced the eqhost.txt file with the required text, but everytime I start EQ I get a looking for patches... then a "Downloading eqhost.txt," then it starts. How do I get this to work?

I have Windows XP Home and EQ 1.0.2.1 that's at IGN.com.

I have never used EQ before, so please use English.
