Default New Update won't go into EQ file.

I'm having problems getting the new update to extract into the everquest file. I get 4 errors saying how it cannot create the file and access is denied.
Everything loads perfectly til the character screen but it wont allow me to create a character until I get the update.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Let's put on the psychic debugging hat.

I assume you're playing on P99. They have their own forums, and that would be a better place to ask, but let's ignore that for now.

You are running Vista or Windows 7 and you have EQ installed under the Program Files or Program Files (x86) directory, a sure cause of much pain and agony.

You're trying to unzip a file directly to that EQ directory.

You can run the unzip program as administrator and it might work, or you can unzip the files to a different place, let's say a folder on your desktop, and then move them into the EQ directory and it will either just work, or you will get a UAC prompt that you can agree to and then it will work.
