we need to have more information then it freezes

like what client are you using to log in with?
you use your lsaccount to connect to eqemulator.net
did you create a file called eqhost.txt and put eqemulator.net:5998 or 5999?
did you create a short cut and put eqgame.exe patchme?
what server was you trying to login too?

Have you checked the FAQ in my sig? It has some suggestions. We need to know which client you are using. If it is Titanium, you need to use port 5998. All other clients use port 5999.

Also, if you are playing from a network that you don't own (such as a work or school network), they may be blocking the ports required to play, which would cause this same issue and there is no easy way around that.

what client are you using?

is it a fresh install or patched to live?

are you running any third party "utilities" related to EQ?

have you tried running OptionsEditor.exe in your EQ directory to make sure your video settings are correct?

are you running trough a router?

do you have a firewall?

yes, it helps. you're very likely going to need to reinstall.

come on, no opcode? I am disappointed....

Kwino, you need a clean (unpatched to Live) install of Titanium (disc), SoF (disc), SoD (steam version), or UF (steam version) to play on the EQEmu servers. No other version will work at this time.
