Default Hello all Im new here and have a couple general questions

I have never connected to EQEmu yet. My sons that used to play but dont want to spend their allouance on it anymore are asking me if there is a way to play for free. So I did some searching and this is what I found. First off thank all the Developers for putting in the time to figure this out. Now for my main questions... If we connect to the general server or the one that says it is ran by one of the Dev guys how flexible is the server? I dont know anything about this stuff, so is lvling easier and such... My poor kids made lvl 10 in 3 months time so Im hoping for a easy lvling and easier game play. Please let me know what you think...Ultimatly I would love to host my own server for friends/family were I could have little easter egg type hunts and say put a lammy sword on like a orc in east commons and have the kids and friends go beserk looking for him to kill and get the new sword... Or maybe that stuff already happens on the EqEmu servers...not sure...should I just get one running and try? Also is there a website were you can manually patch your everquest back to the older versions so you can play?

Thanx
