Default Human night vision

Back in the day humans had a hell of a time seeing at night and it made infravision and light sources important. Is there any way to bring that back? Is that client, server or database? I combed through the rule_values and couldn't find it.
I appreciate all constructive input. =)

I'm pretty sure that lighting is client sided, aside from the ability to give items a 'light' value. But setting your gamma to 100 percent would make it pointless.

Bummer, I always thought it was cool and added to the wonder when night would fall and I'd be blind as a bat.
I'm not overly worried about people setting their gamma up. It'd be more for the people who want to classic feel.
I'm giving them all free torches with their starting items. Wanted it to be worth while to have.

Even back in the day, I started playing back in 1999, all you had to do was raise your gamma up. When I started I had a really hard time, as a human, going through GFay, dungeons, and playing in night conditions. I just upped the gamma and fixed the issue.
