Cant connect to own minilogin server

ok here is the error im getting in "World.exe"

I get the error as soon as I run World.exe

Ive read all the readme and forum posts but cant seem to get anything to work.

I also run Win 98 and the latest version of EQEMU and still no dice.

Try a newer version, like
4.0.1
or
4.0.1 DR2

See if that makes a difference

*sigh* i tried the 2nd download and it still wont work. I already had the first download (thats the version I got) but I still get that error message. I can get the 5 zone things to boot up and go into sleep mode but when i go to logon to my server it gives a "1200" error and says I dont have the correct version go back and run the patch and update. I have run the patch and everything and STILL wont work.

nope not yet, i completely got rid of everything and re did it all over again and STILL got the same error

I figured out how to get it to work. Just can't remember now. :( I know I found the solution on one of the threads so I'm looking back over the ones I've been to. Was up late last night and after I figured out this problem I had to figure out why I kept getting 1017 error when trying to connect to my server.

Hmmm... Do you happen to have installed the 3.13 DB Addon? I'm trying to remember what caused my problem, and I'm thinking that may be it.

There was a problem in the spawns.sql file and you have to open it up and edit it yourself.

Think I remember it now. I do know I went to this thread and followed the direction the poster said and it worked.

I also had a problem with the db addon though. You can find the information about it here.

well i downloaded that modified minilogin someone posted a while back and I GOT IT TO WORK! But...no matter if I do the patchme method or EQW it goes REEEEEEEEALLY slow and if I go to play on my server it will go black forever then eventually just boot off of eqw or the eqgame.exe itself.....always booted to desktop but the world server is still running

Glad you got your server to work.

To fix the lag that isn't lag (the slowness) *you can do some weird jump things when it goes really slow like that*

Do a cold boot.

Cold boot = Completely shutdown the computer, let it sit for a few mins, then turn it back on.

That always fixed the "slow" thing.

I was having the problem with the INVALID VERSION. But I got the minilog, and now it lets me to the server select screen, but the server is LOCKED, and I can't get it. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
