Default LAN setup... good database?

Hi everyone,

Being very new to all this, I've gone through all the readup's forum sticky's... you name it, i've just about read it and now i'm dizzy...

Seeing as I can't seem to log into any of the servers (getting disconnected at char select screen and apparently a few people are also getting this), I've gone to try and work on a local setup across just two machines on my LAN.

Works great... I can log two accounts in (as long as I run world server on one machine and login on another) and they both even get through to char select and creation. BUT (you knew it was coming) ... when i go to enter the world, the minilogin machine just freezes up... the world / zone server kicks back to server select...

Ahhh, but I can run it all single machine no problems (single machine hosting everything, world, minilogin, zone)... EXCEPT...

This is the main reason for the post... (if you can help with above it'll be appreciated but from all the reading so far i've done i think it might come down to firewall (XP) or just accounts or something, i'm sure i can resolve it ...)

Database!!! ... does anyone have a good working, EQLive legit style database? ... I put 4.1 dbase in and it's all good, but finding that some zones i just CANNOT get into (solb/sola/few others) ... and what about the random spawns ? how do i implement this?

Oh... i'm running XP with the 4.1EQEmu + dbase etc ...

Any advice or help is appreciated
