Very new, basic question...cause i r n3wb

How do i spawn items, gain levels, travel etc....

I am looking to use the servers as a tool to learn zones and pulling methods for certain mobs, and need up to par gear for said tests. Really dont think it's possible to actually lvl my way up the normal way to do this.
