I am hosting my own MiniLogon server, have everything setup and have latest version of Emu. I have run the command line for world.exe (world.exe adduser eqemu eqemu 200), which fixed the annoying 1017 error. Now when I click on "Play Everquest" the screen flickers black and I get an error message saying:
"eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I have tried running the emu with both eqw 2.32 and normally - both have the same error. The annoying thing is I have been in the emulator and played a few characters, sat and camped out, then when I try to connect to the server again I get the eqgame.exe crash.
If I patch EQLive and change eqhost.txt to MiniLogin settings, then login to my EQEmu account I get to the server select and select my server (the only one there). Then I click "Play everquest", which makes the screen flicker to black and then boot me back to server select with the 1017 Error. If I run the EQEmu patcher I don't get 1017 Error anymore, but then I get the eqgame.exe error. Does the patcher corrupt the eqgame.exe file?
Btw I run:
Windows XP Home Edition
EQEmu v4.3
EQEmu Patcher 1.0.1
EQW v2.32
try downloading the EQpatcher then install the files into you EQ folder and run it if it is install right it will redownload the eqgame and nyour problem with be fixed i would post the file it self but i think i would get banded. so try the eqpatch

I mentioned in the first post that running the Emu patcher fixes the 1017 error, but creates the eqgame error. If I patch EQLive I don't get the eqgame.exe error, only the 1017 Error (arrrghhh).
EQFix.zip wouldn't be classed as a "warez" file would it? I mean, Verant Interactive didn't make it, and have nothing to do with it, so it is property of the creator? I understand why posting eqgame.exe and stuff are "warez", but not why something not made by verant is...
Oh btw - I do have an EQFix file...loaded it into db, doesn't seem to have worked though...
I think it's a corrupted eqgame.exe file causing the problem, not the emulator, database or mySQl.
