Hrmm, just wondering, has anyone ever ASKED SOE if we could reverse engineer EQ to see what it was made of, and possibly spawn forth other non profit modifications from it?

Ok, maybe not word it like that. But the guys up there have to have some kind of human, like, emotional... qualities, that would understand what you were trying to accomplish, especially if you point out how much of a learning experience it is.

And hell, if you want good programmers for your games, get the people who love it so much that they need to know how it works, and find ways to make it work differently, and succeed.
