i need help with db i think

i finaly loged in to my server but when i got there there was nothing no guerd NPCs venders no nothing is there a good want throw on how to install them cos im kinda stuped inless im told exatly what to do ill mess it up
also i started out as human SK in east freeport and when i zoned the eqw went away and then when i tryed to log that char again eqw would disapear i installed every thing and downloaded all the new stuff i was suposed to and followed the read me
is there any easy way of fixing this cos it took me 3 days to get working and i dont want to mees it up now its working kina
