Default How about a LoginServer for Test / Pre alpha servers ?

Hi,

some Pleyer just want to play on a fine EQEmu server, while other users are in the course of setting up / building world for a server.

I guess putting only one LoginServer in the eqhost limits your view, so why not say eqlogin3 for example is dedicated to server setup, and thus players make changes to their eqhost, and world builders change their LoginServer.ini ?

Then, when the world is playable (say 'beta'), servers revert to the main server list (eqlogin1 and 2).

'duno about login server load issues, but this may lower the number of play servers, where many player look for, while on the 'test' login server, only testers and world builders would connect.

Are these assumptions correct, and what do you think ?

If a server is in true test mode, they can lock it. The SysOP can still log in, and (I'm not sure if any chosen GMs can enter, but) the OP can unlock the server long enough for the staff to enter, then lock it again, and they can get to building.

That's what I do, anyway. /shrug
