Default Blank Server List

Ever since the login server was down that horrible night I haven't been able to get the server list to appear when I log on. Checked eqlsclient.ini and eqhost.txt multipule times and they check out fine, but that's to be expected since I wouldn't be able to login at all if eqhost.txt wasn't correct and I can log on just fine. I changed my passwords both for the forum and the eq account but still no luck. Didn't really expect THAT to fix it anyway. I didn't patch on the 22nd so if I could see any of the servers I should still be able to play on them. I've searched all over the forums and can't find any post that might shed some light on my problem. Anyone know what could be causing this. I'm pretty sure something must be screwed up on my end or else lots of others would be having my same problem. Any hints, clues, or points in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

Sorry, I have no idea how to help you except to tell you to patch and run a complete file check on it, but that wouldn't really help either. I have never heard of anyone having this problem before that didn't go away soon after because the server fixed itself so I have no clue what could be causing it. Perhaps you have a firewall that is blocking some of the packets? Or your router is dropping some packets? Or perhaps you are jsut getting really unlucky in the times you try to connect and the server happens to have a bug for a few minutes then.

Yeah, the only firewall I have is a software firewall. I usually play with it disabled, but I tried also enabling it and giving full permission for the eq programs to access the internet. I would think that any incoming packets would also be allowed, but either way, with or with out the fire wall, there's no change. I also don't use a router so no external firewall or anything like that. This has got me completely confused as well as you too I'm sure. I try to run it often enough that it would be highly unlikely that there is a bug with the server every single time. I'll probably just patch and sit tight until they get it working with the new version. Sure hope that fixes it.

If you have an eq live account you can try and log into it and see if it works there, if it didn't then Sony should help you.

Sorry, no live account. Stopped playing it not to long after SOV came out. Couldn't really afford it being a poor college student and all. Guess I'm just SOL unless it somehow fixes itself or the devs get the new patch up and running. Thanks for the suggestions though, I really appreciate it.
