Default error at login screen

whenever i try and log on i get a message saying

The version of messaging being used is not the same between client and server.This is most likely the result of of the client /and or of server having been patched. please try re-patching the client
in order to correct this issue.

im kinda new to this stuff so having a lil prob with that

is there any specific way to fix it?

The latest live patch is incompatible with the login server. The only way to fix it is wait for the devs to fix the server.

I got this same error a little while back. Go to your eqhost.txt file, make sure it points to the emu server. You can veiw the exact information in numerous threads in this forum. Then make sure the file is read-only so that eq doesn't wright over it (it will upon running eq, even if not the live version). It worked for me
