Problems in Bosnia
I used the search function and couldn't find an answer to my problem on here...if there is one I'm sorry to be reposting it. I have been trolling these boards for awhile and if there is a place to get me up and running this is it. I'm in the Army and stationed in Bosnia for a few months. I am going through some serious withdrawls here. After coing across this site I got very excited that there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. I am allowed VERY limited access to the internet here....and there lies my biggest problem. I have my computer linked to my friends through a hub. I have read the info here about LAN play and got it figured out. My problem is that I can't patch my game to get the newest version. I have tried several times but the internet security guys here are kinda paranoid and won't let me connect to the patch server. Is there anyway I can side step this step. I was thinking that if someone knows which files get updated with the patch that I could possibly find someone to copy those files to a web site / FTP and then I could download them...replace the old ones...and then the game would be patched. Does this seem llike it would work...or am I just ass out? Hopefully I can get this thing going with some help from you guys. Thanks for taking the time to read this...and hopefully post on it.
