Default Question about the Server Select screen

Sorry, seems this is a common problem, but would someone mind giving a little more details on the connecting to EQemu server list issue? I read in one thread to change from port 5994 to 5998; the only thing that accomplished for me was to have the client offer to send a bug report after signing in. With port 5994 I can at least "log in" (quotes to say I'm not sure if I did or not), I get the server select screen but no servers from which to choose. I do recognize that without update from the wonderful people running the EQemu code that I won't be able to get back onto a server; but a few years back when I was using EQemu, you used to be able to at least see the servers if you'd messed up and updated to the latest Sony patch. Anyway, I'd appreciate any ideas or help =) I've been looking for an EQesque replacement, but all of the new MMORPGs are misserable and have fairly shoddy communities of players ='( Anyway, thanks for any help anyone can offer

If you have patched in the last few days or so..You wont even get to server select. From what I heard. If you are trying to get on port 5994 then I think you need last years version to do that. I never tried. I came to EMU just before the 5/11 patch Thank God!
