Does shards of dalaya still work?

In one post someone had been asking about a good server to start on. Someone replied with the shards of dalaya website. Does shards of dalaya work? is it just a normal server in eqemu or is it independent? I tried to register, but it forwarded me to wintersroar.com and gave me a page not found error. I read winters roar was shut down. Can someone shine some light?

I was trying to, but like i said when i tried to register it sent me to wintersroar's old broken website. So i didn't have a login name to be able to post anything...

It's a pretty fun server, and a lot of work was put into it. I used to play a lot on it before I started my own server, and it is worth a try. I am not sure if it is now independent from the rest of the eqemu scene. However sod has their own login server, so you will have to check with them to see how they activate accounts.

Shards project is completely independent of eqemu now. You're free to hang around here for the company, many of who play SoD. You won't see any dev presence for SoD here, nor will you get any official support for playing that server here.
