Default Will the Newb questions ever stop? (hehe)

Sorry to be a bother yet again lol

Ive gone through the tutorials, the wiki and all that, but still cant find anywhere that tells me what to do with all the stuff i downloaded.

Eg. the database files from Project EQ, im assuming those are the raw data files that the server uses to run the game, no brainer there.

However, the tutorials and wiki do not give instructions for installing these components, nor do the readme.txt files accompanying the database files (if they had any, some did not).

ive already done the perl commands eg. install dbi whatever whatever, done all that.. but where does the PEQ stuff fit in?

What do i do with the database files? I have my Perl, mysql, my eqemu version and accompanying client copy matching the release of the eqemu.... but what do i do now? Im really not trying to be a difficult noob here, but the tutorials are really NOT written for complete newbs who want to setup their own servers. Theres alot of unanswered questions and gaps for total idiots like myself...

left hanging here... i have all the pieces to the puzzle, just not sure how they fit together!

what ive done:

-checked my EQVER number and found a matching EQEMU copy
-downloaded and installed perl
-downloaded and installed mysql
-setup perl to communicate with mysql as per the instructions (the 3 command prompt things)
-downloaded the PEQ database files
-downloaded additional map files (txt and map format)
-downloaded quest files
-downloaded items
-downloaded Ethernalquest (see below)
-Downloaded a few files from the Hackerquest site (trying to atleast get SOMETHING running)

Im so completely and utterly boggled by all these files and databases, i have no knowledge of programming or perl or mysql so i need to be lead around on a leash.

I once found an awesome tutorial on setting up a server a year ago but cant find it anymore i think it was at Ethernal quests forums or hackerquest but i cant get into the forums there for some reason... anyways...

(BTW im not COMPLETELY useless, i do level design in the Unreal editor, texture art, some model work etc.. i really want to get a server running so i can learn the Zone building techniques for EQ and make my own content!
I have quest ideas, lots of material to get started but no idea how to even get off the ground, Tutorials have holes and gaps in them and they assume im super smart but im not lol.

My level design, artwork and etc. can be found at www.arctura.net if anyone really doesnt believe me hehe I cant wait to start adding custom content to the game, i have sketches and sketches piled up of my own ideas for zones and creatures!

Thanks again y'all im such a noob when it comes to this stuff, id just like some help on setting it alll up? if thats oK? if not im sorry to bug yas!

My Guide

I'm going to re-add this to the wiki soon. I just have to reformat it.
