Make sure you're running that command from within the directory that the sql file is in.

Alright... more detailed...

my peqdb folder, when i click on it, it leads to another folder, peq_db with the content in it.

load_system.sql IS inside my peq_bd folder, as is load_player.sql.... what do I do?

I have been following this guide. I have gotten to the end, where you see if it works or not on the shortcut, and it stays blank. it doesn't work and i did SOMETHING wrong... does anyone know if it might be because of the folder problem i was having or i dunno what, i just want it to work

Also, i have a question. should all of it be in the C:\EQemu folder... instead of c:\eqemu\eqemu-0.7.0-1002?

also... i think i may have modified one of the files that i shouldn't have...

it's the eqemu_config.xml.full

can anybody tell me what it said before i erased it? i did because the site instructed me to copy and paste a bunch of stuff into the file, except i picked the wrong one, the file i was supposed to paste it into was eqemu_confix.xml.

what do i do about that lol

Yes your Eqemu-0.7.0-1002 file should be in just your eqemu folder and not in a subfolder.

as for the eqemu_config.xml file it's the same shouldn't be an issue. I've currently just setup eq emu on minilogin and haveing all sorts of fun figuring it out. don't worry you'll get it.

Forza, did you follow the wiki guide or the PDF guide. I would suggest that if your having issues with the wiki, use the PDF so you have the screenshots.

the eqemu-0.7.0-1002 file is actually a folder, so it's a subfolder inside of the eqemu folder. should it be that way? also... when you source in the cmd for the load player command, what is supposed to come up? btw, i'm using the PDF guide. anyways, i managed to get it to spam a certain line, i forget at the moment, but it lasted for over two hours, so i just x'd it out thinking it wasn't working.

now if i source again, it gives me an error 1062 duplicate entries and my computer constantly bleeps each time it sends another file or whatever it does. it's been doing this for about 3 hours and i dunno if it's working or what the hell it's doing actually. it seems to be counting down in a certain order, but at this rate it'll take forever lol.

Ok if you read the guide it tells you that when you source the file it will show up as Query ok, 1 row affected (0.00 secs) over and over and over again about a few thousand times. since it did that you sourced it correctly so you don't need to do it again that is why when you sourced it agin you got an error code saying duplicate and about a headache of beeps. needless to say don't do that again. next like i said eqemu-0.7.0-1002 needs to be in the main directory and not in it's subfolder (ie. eqemu-0.7.0-1002) so empty it's contents out into the main directory and it should ask you if you want to overwrite codecs and stuff. you can backup your other codecs first is recommended then do it. that's per the guide. not sure what guide your looking at cause it's pretty crystal clear the one i used. Hope this helps.

Um, your are going to have to source the database again. You said you "X'ed" out of it which means that you stoped it before it was done. I gave a rough estimate on 30 min becuase that was a little more than what it took me to source it in. I have a Core 2 Duo so it might move through a boat load faster than a older P4 or even PIII or AMD equivilant. I would suggest that you go into Mysql Admin, look at the database that you made, right click on it and then go to something like Drop or Delete and then start back with the sourcing of the database, but this time let it run until it stops and says

Code:
mysql>
As far as database structure goes you want it to look like this,

C:\EqEmu

\maps\
*files with zone names
\quests\
\folders with zone names
*files with NPC names
\logs\
*files for emu like world.exe, eqemu_config.xml, ect...

\"abc"\ <- Indicates sub-directory-folder

* <- Indicates location should show several files

It "can" run with it in sub folders, but its just more hassle than if you put it all in a folder at the lowest possible stucture. Same goes with the peq database when received from CVS, which was a error on my part in the original guide that I though I fixed in the PDF version by just saying to "Checkout" the CVS to **C:\**

If you put anything in sub directories, I would suggest moving them, you dont have to put them where I said in the guide, but somewhere that you will at least remember them.

NOTE: Mysql will look for the files its trying to source in from your commands in whatever directory it started in. So if you start it from C:\I love cheese, it will look for that "load_system.sql" like it was in C:\I love cheese, so if you try to source something that isnt there, or isnt present, it will give you a error about not being found.

I didn't see where you said you x'ed it out before it finished so yeah run Source drop_system.sql it'll reset and drop everything you did, then resource it this time LET IT FINISH. till it get's to where techyguy has shown. make sure you follow his pdf guide. it will take time if you system is slow mine took about 45-50 mins to finish. so go to command prompt:

cd\peq_db

c:\peq_db>mysql -u root -p
password:******

mysql> \u peq
database changed
mysql> source drop_system.sql

you should see dropped blah blah blah and more than likely beep you some cause you didn't let it finish.
then resource it

mysql> source load_system.sql

Query ok, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
Query ok, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
Query ok, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
Query ok, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
Query ok, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
Query ok, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
really really fast. ok then let it finish then do source Load_player.sql
same thing then just let it finish.

I had same issue and realized i was just being dumb and tired, then let it finish while i went to sleep. I too at one point got the error 2 message but i worked and figured out that i was being dumb and tired.
