Default LAN Server

Is anyone out there running a succesful LAN server, just playing with some friends, exping, questing, etc? It's something I'd like to do after the first of the year, and was wondering if anyone else out there is actually doing this.

I have a LAN server running the ax_classic db. It is just me and 5 friends that play around on it. I'm using the mini-login, ax_classic db, and I believe EQEmu ver 1042. Not to sure of the Emu version; I can't check it right now I am at work. But it is possible and super easy to set up with Techguy's tutorial.
