Shutdown script

I'm wondering if there's an easy way to shutdown the server with a nice little warning message like they do in live. I want to automate the nightly database backup and figured I could tie it all together with any other maintenance that needed to be done.

So basically, can I create a script that will shout that the server is coming down in one minute, and then shut the server down?
