Default Almost there! Need help with login

I used the guide to set up a public server by Sticky. Excellent guide and my server seems to actually be working. The problem is now that I can see my server on the server list but I can't log into it. I also had a friends try and he can't log in either. I belive after much reading that it is a LAN issue with my IP addresses (I hope). The guide slightly touches on port forwarding and that seems to be where I may have lost my steam. Honestly I am rather terrible with this stuff and that the guide got me this far is a testimate to how good it is.
I am fine with making a public server mainly because the best guide was for making one.I would have prefered to make a minilogin but I have looked and it becomes hard to see what I need to change from the public server guide to get there. So I am looking for the most painless way to get me and my buddy playing and any help would be appreciated.

I'm not familar with Netgear routers, but if it's forwarding both port types (UDP and TCP) then that's the same ports I'm forwarding and it works fine.

You have a problem with your account table missing "time_created" like mine did as well. You'll need to go add a field in "account" table using Navicat.

Open your server connection, then your database for Eqemu, open the table "account".

From that window, select File, Design Table off the menu, click the "Add field button" and set the name to "time_creation", with a type of "datetime", length "0", decimals "0", and save.

It's better to just apply the 1711 required update. Assuming you have the source code files from the SVN you would look in the trunk\EQEmuServer\utils\sql\svn directory to find them.

Although the latest PEQ is a higher revision number than that, all the updates weren't applied before posting it, so you have to go back a bit to get up to date.
