Fatal GIT error creating server.

Hey there, I am currently trying to make a server happen by following this guide

However it seems I am stuck on the first step of Acquiring the source code whenever i type this into GIT Command Prompt I get a:

git clone git://github.com/EQEmu/Server.git .
Cloning into '.' ...
fatal: write : Invalid argument


Error and I am not sure why the only thing I can possibly think of is that I have the EQ server folder in my D: Drive (extra hard drive). I am GIT Bashing from the source folder which is in D drive so surely it would follow the path from where it was asked to be GIT Bashed.
So if someone has some ideas on what it could be or how i can fix this it would be greatly appreciated cheers.
