Heh, wait till you get to level3, that takes a huge jump. I had to look up a couple things. Keep trying. It is a blast to finally find the answer to something you have been hacking at for the last week and a half. You can always ask for help, me and FireBird34 are there to help.

Very kewl, thanks  Haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like fun, i love hacking games! Will definatly have to try it out wen I get home, at college now, don't want them to think I am actually hacking :p |

I would like to say that is nothing that resembles 'hacking' till the last levels, the rest should just be a general course in *nix.

Your wrong.
Hacking a system with DoS attacks is 'modern' hacking as you speak. I am not referring to this kind of hacking. I am instead talking of a hacking that requires brains to solve problems. Your right about it being a unix tutorial though. It is, and a good one at that.
Also, the levels 0 through about 10 or 11, are not your everyday hacks, but they would not start you out at buffer over flows...
Take some time to learn unix, and just have fun. That is what it is there for.

 Heh, think about it. What is the point of hacking. Thats kinda a broad question, but really.. Why would they let your hack there server when level0 had root privledges. They start you out small, but slowly you gain rights. Then at the top of it all you take root.

Yeah but getting root isn't as easy as name:root pass:root anymore....
I need to study my UNIX FOR DUMBIES books. I think they use linux or unix, but they are the same either way.....side note WTF how the fuck do I check driver files?
