Default Remote Zone server

I currently am testing a remote zone server, the remote server is at a friends, thus allowing me to have more zones/less cpu usage/more bandwidth.

for the zone load up I'm currently testing one zone static

start zone bazaar <remote servers external IP> 7991 <world servers external IP>

upom attempt to zone into the remote zone this error msg comes up on the remote zone

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

218031 New client from ip: 24.95.87.83 port: 1025
Login packet 1 (OP_SetDataRate = 10)
Unexpected packet during CLIENT_CONNECTING2: OpCode: 0xe841, size: 4
0: 00 00 20 41 | .. A
Login packet 2
Client dropped: GetAuth = 0, n=Lardass
Dropping client: Process=false, ip=24.95.87.83, port=1025

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

then the EQ client is disconnected and I'm left at the login screen...
any ideas what could cause this?

the MySQL database is stored on the local server, all zones work properly and the static zone I'm testing (bazaar) works correctly if zoned into on the local server.

Database compression is turned on in db.ini on the remote server, but not on the local server, (don't think that'd make a difference)

if anyone has ANY ideas let me know...thnx =)
