Default Common(?) patcher problem

Does anyone know a legitimate reason why EQEmu Patcher gives some of us nothing but "cannot connect to patch server" ?

After many tries (with and without mdac update,firewall/no firewall, etc... etc..) this is all it will do. Ive never got it to do anything.

My request is for info if someone can give me a reason(s) why it does this; or a link/FTP where the changed files can be aquired.

BTW Im on XP Pro (whistler) v2002 on all 3 of my machines (they all do same thing) my network is 1 shared internet box through a hub to the other 2 boxes. I recently quit playing EQlive (on all 3 machines without a hiccup) and I cannot seem to come up with a reasonable difference in traffic between EQlive and this that could (or should) cause this.

So, if the patcher does indeed work...Id like it to work here, hehe, as ive never seen this emu in action. =)

I to have the same problem and would like to know how to resolve it. I did manage to play the game a couple of times but after that I got the same problem. I've tried re installing EQ, DLing the EQEmu Patcher & mdac update again but nothing seems to work.
The one thing that I have in common with jtuma007 here (besides the EQEmu Patcher not working) is that I'm using XP Pro, any chance this could be the problem?

Thanks in advance.
