Default My own login server needed?

Hello,
I am a bit confused.

It seems like Scorpious 2k and Winters Roar both have their own login servers.

How is this possible?

I want to run a server similar to Winters Roar, but I can't get a login server to connect to.

What login server you connect to depends on what server code you are trying to run. If you will supply us with a few more details maybe somebody can point you in the right direction.

I have the 6.0 DR-2.

I have the client that can connect to eqemulator.net:5998

My server is set to connect to eqemulator.net:5998

It seems like it should work, but I do not see ANYTHING that says it is even connected to login server... and it does not show up.

I ran a 5.3 server a while ago, and I liked it where you didnt need to reg the server... this is taking so long to get it up, and there are hardly any servers (like a total of 4)

I guess it is an error in DR2... I am now using DR1 and it APPEARS to be working.

Yes you can easy find in this forum
0.6.0 DR2 (login server= newlogin1.eqemulator.net:5994).
0.6.1 DR1 (login server= newlogin1.eqemulator.net:599.

That's not hard

Well, if you have a client that can connect to 5998 then you will need to be on 0.6.1-dr1 or higher (depending on your client).

If you are running 0.6.0-dr2 then you need a client that can connect to the login server on 5994.

You can't mix them.
