Well I'm at my wits end trying to get spells to work. I'm sure I did something wrong along the way but I'm quite frankly tired of screwing with it.

Soooo... if someone can send me their entire server folder that they know for sure works, I'll paypal them $50. Simple as that. I know how to go in and change the necessary things. I'll just overwrite mysql and eqemu on my hard drive with your stuff. Once I've logged in and verified that it works, I'll paypal you. No catches.

I have an ftp site which I'll give access to the person who wants to take advantage of this setup. I'm generally available all day and most of the night to actually test it out, so this could be done this weekend if someone has the time.

LOL i have to admit the thought of getting ahold of someone server and simply copying everything would be handy as h3ll..(hmm why hasnt someone done just that!?!?!?).espescialy since i can make a server function...even tho its naked of everything :P

There isnt one in existance, Myra's DB and MW DB are the only 2 in existance and there far from complete.

Heh, I should have qualified that...

I meant as good as it gets really. I know both have issues of one type or another and nothing is complete. I'm just looking for the best of whats available, or the 'most complete'

Basically what I have now is pretty good, other than a lot of mobs missing in various zones, but the game is pretty incomplete without spells.

I know someone out there has refined it to be just about as good as can be with whats available. Thats what I'm looking for

the problem is you cant just zip up a server.

it takes a mysql installation, a perl installation, plus the win32 binaries that come compiled.

Add that to the fact that your configuration may not be the same as anyone else's etc etc.


spells are as simple as putting spells_us.txt into your eqemu dir.

That's it. Spells work fine for me in 5.3-DR2 and DR3.

I'd take $50 to vnc into your machine and set it all up tho =)

takes me about 10 minutes to configure everything after it's downloaded.
