Download http://www.eqemulator.net/eqhost.txt into your EQ directory and set it to read only and play.

I did. Still crashing to the desktop.

Since I just reloaded EQ to my computer after having it gone for many months and getting the newest patch. I figure I am screwed from what I am reading from other posts. Guess I need to wait on devs to come up with the solution for me to be able to get pass the login.

I did get pass the login once, but it seem to try and load with Sony live instead of showing Emu servers available. :

make sure the eqhost is readonly, do that by right clicking it then clicking box next to read only and try downloading the eqclient file, link is on front page, like 3rd new thing down

Well that may be for you, but for most people at least that is jsut plain wrong to do. Most people crash if its not set to read only and will be able to play only if it is. you must be doing something differently.
