Hi folks

No Place Like Home Server is Back up! ..... errr i think

I followed the instructions in the wikki to the last 't' so to speak... and everything seems to work fine... the world.exe boots with no errors... the boot5zones.bat runs also with no errors at all! ..

.. I get all excited that my server is finally back up, login to the eqemu, get to the server list... and guess what? ..... its not there :(

Please help me :( who ate my server? :P

Mhhh, have you open right port on your router/firewall ?
Like 9000 udp/tcp and of course boot5zone port in udp/tcp ?
Yes ? for see better :
Can you produce your log (text you have after work and boot5zone)
And your loginserver.ini and db.ini files ? (Without password and login !)

I think i fixed it lol... my loginserver.ini was a bit messed up, not sure how.

The server now shows up, and even says its up... but now wont let me log in.... my client is ok so i know its not that (i can log in to other folks servers fine )

Think my problem is that thingy in the wikki that goes on about people connecting to there own servers... though am having trouble navigating that site. noip.com or something...

wont let me sign up... keep putting in my info over and over, and it just keeps resetting the same page... wonder if anyone else having that problem?

Problem with site.no-ip.org is easy when we can understand hehe

Pc need IP adress on internet like 123.123.123.123 (4 numbers)
Most connection have dynamic IP adress like
123.123.123.123 , 234.234.234.234, etc...
Ip adress change each time you connect to internet.

Loginserver of eqemu need your IP adress for connect your server, and your zone.exe need it to connect client also.
But if IP change, LS, world, and zone are'nt up to date (with config file)

When you go on site No-ip.org (or other), you open one account !
This account say NameOfMySite.no-ip.org = Current IP adress from pc (you can find it on http://whatismyip.com)
And on your pc, you have a soft who tell no-ip.org when your current IP change.

Now in place of external ip on config files you put NameOfMySite.no-ip.org, and like IP adress fix, your config files are always right

Hey nadine It's Kurohoshi from that nonlegit server....I tried getting in but i didn't work...I am going to try again though since you said it works now....See ya in there hopefully
