Default What did eqemu use before Titanium????

It says that eqemu supports titanium. but what did it use before titanium came out??????? what version of eqemu did that change to titanium? people before have said that titanium is the only one ever supported but if it is "now supported" than what really was before it, and what versions was that?

We used to have to patch to live. But that meant the emulator had to keep up with all the changes being made with almost every new patch. Also some one who happened to find the emulator in between patches could not play because there was no legal way to backpatch the client. Wich meant there werent very many players willing to wait.
So we were basicly slaves to Sony. Now we are not.

FYI..There was no client before titanium that was ever compatible with a CD out of the box. So you cant just find an old version of emulator and think you are going to play an old CD to see what it was like in the old days.

ya u got me lol, trying to find a way around my eq platinum version lol. but cant come out and just say that because everyone else i saw that asks something similar gets flamed or really huge letters pointing to Titanium Now Supported lol. Ok well thank you.

So there is no possiblel way of getting this to work? I saw somewhere a rumor of someone mentioning that they heard it might work lol. i dont care if its buggy, just want to kno if there is anyway i can get the single player server up and running enough to get into the game???

Just trying to find a use for the games i used to have legit accounts with...they sit on my shelf aquiring dust. I got wow up and running single player and that was cool. so i figured id look for everquest. was directed to a download site, but that site didnt say what version u needed so i went looking around and it said titanium...went looking for the game only to find out that i have platinum...damnit. lol. you think i should try getting it to work lol and see if i might. or is there no reason for technological issues????

do you guys think your gonna make two versions, this one and maybe one that supports platinum???What is different about how the programming works...

does the titanium version have an actual number (like patch number but what it is right out of the box...like wow, you can patch up to live but the version i had out of the box was 1.5.1 or something...) just curious. dont want anylinks just asking for what the numbered version is if any.

is everquest that good playing alone???is it worth going and spending another 20 just so i can play alone. I just wanted to put a use to an unused game so im debating on whether buying another game is really justified, seeing how i dont know how often i would actually play it.

if ur a gm can u give urself buffs and sow and stuff. cuz it would be annoying to be a class that doesnt have those and never have the chance to get them because theres no one else around. although i guess that means you would have to really role play your role...hmm might make the game better

No other version is being worked on were freezing on Titanium.

NO there is no ptch version because SOE didnt do patching the same way Blizzard did.

Buying Titanium is the only way to be able to play.

$20 isnt much to spend if you liked Clasic EQ.

GM's can do whatever they want, you controle everything.

ya so im prob gonna get the titanium version and try it. i dl'd the files to make teh server so that way ill have them if i want to play it. who knows down the line i may want to play it and maybe they'l drop the servers so you cant (no support) and this way ill be able to play. hmmm

should i even try running it on the platinum version. what errors do you think i will get. just wondering if anyone has actually tried it. i know ur now designed for titanium, but has anyone tried to get it working on platinum. what in the programming will make it not work. is it the way the platinum sends packets or is it something else. there should be a way to get it to work, just whether or not its worth doing.

ill prob just end up going to best buy and picking it up anyway...

good job guys for getting an emulator working. thanks for all the effort
