Default Need Language change help

Would anyone know on how to edit the language for the quest for EQemu? Will it be just edit mysql database?

I did edit the NPC binder quest text and resulting in not giving the name of the player for some reason.
ie: "Greeting $name, ......."
I changed the "greeting" and all the wording after $name. Player name just wont show up after I did that.

Thank you for your time reasing my dumb question.

Regards,

You could change the "say/emote/etc" text content to the Perl quests and a lot of the game would be in the wanted language. But be careful of what you change; for example "$name" is a variable that can't be changed.
Also , you might be able to "hack" into the source and change things in there (like what the vendors say, when you right-click them).
I don't think there's much you would need to change in the database that would affect the language.
Be sure to back up often before you start

Mainly I only trying to translate the dialog to some other languages since only few understand english in my place.
